It's back! And if you thought that it couldn't get any better than 2012, just wait until you see what is in store for you at the 2013 Chevron Festival Gardens!
For 23 nights during Perth Festival the best Australian and international acts perform on the Mainstage. A program filled with double-bill shows and premieres of beautifully crafted live performances, you are spoiled for choice. Get ready for an explosion of soul, jazz, funk, electronica, indie-pop, hip‑hop, rock, deconstructed RnB and everything in between. The Mainstage offers both standing and seated viewing to suit each night’s unique performance.
No matter what Festival event you see around town (any day, any venue), your ticket enables priority entry to the Garden: an intimate backyard-style hangout and bar perfect for catching up and relaxing with friends to the cool sounds of local and international DJs. Of course, even if you haven’t seen a show, you can drop by for a drink and cool off beside the fountain.
Res de Res and Artigues (REMOR) - MORE INFOA wholly original 11 minute micro-performance experience, (Remor) invites you to share a prison cell with a couple unaware of each other. Peek into a story written on the body and seared on the mind, a fable these lovers are forced to relive and repeat in order to Understand.
Let us introduce you to the smallest mobile radio station that ever lived. Two Dutch DJs mix their swag of original crackling 45s and LPs from the fifties and sixties – from rock ‘n’ roll to calypso, rhythm and blues to hot mambos and surf to Cumbia – to create the biggest little ruckus on three wheels!
Radio Barkas have wheeled their tune-making ‘De Kalipofoon’ around Terschelings Oerol (Netherlands), Lowlands Festival (Netherlands), Roskilde Festival (Denmark), Sziget Festival – Budapest (Hungary), Chalon dans la Rue (France), Norfolk and Norwich Festival (United Kingdom).
